Available exclusively with a long wheelbase configuration, the S600 is the top S-Class for non-enthusiasts (if you’re an enthusiast, have a look at the S65 AMG). It is motivated by a bi-turbo V12 engine that produces 530 horsepower and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque, power that is transferred to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The V12 makes use of a start/stop system that helps the large sedan meet the stricter Euro 6 emissions standard and deliver an average fuel economy rating of 11.1 L/100 km (21.1 mpg US / 25.4 mpg UK). That’s a 21 per cent improvement over its predecessor.
The S600′s package of equipment and appointments include Mercedes-Benz’s LED Intelligent Light System and Magic Body Control suspension. Also standard is a Driving Assistance Plus package that adds Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist, PRE-SAFE Brake and several other high-tech features.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 goes on sale in March 2015.
