Mercedes AMG GT Edition 1 leaked ahead of Paris

Images of the AMG GT Edition 1 have surfaced online, ahead of its unveiling at the Paris Motor Show
We've got an early glimpse of the new Mercedes AMG GT Edition 1 after images of the coupe leaked online. Marked out by several styling tweaks such as fixed rear wing and new alloy wheels, the Edition 1 will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show.
Expected to cost in the region of £120,000 – £10,000 more than GT S – the Mercedes AMG GT Edition 1 is likely to arrive alongside the standard model next year and offer a more exclusive package to buyers. Most obvious changes over the GT S include a large fixed rear wing in place of the smaller retractable spoiler and there is also redesigned carbon fibre aero at the front. A deeper front splitter and more prominent side skirts will also feature on the Edition 1.

The AMG GT Edition 1 will be based around the same powertrain and suspension package offered on the range-topping GT S. That means the new 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged direct injection V8 will be fitted, developing 503bhp and 649 Nm of torque.
Inside, we can expect some minor trim changes in the interior along with some extra equipment. Mercedes has confirmed the Edition 1 will be shown at the Paris Motor Show next week, alongside the standard AMG GT that was unveiled on September 9th.
