Third of three special British Range Rover Evoque editions
With all the news surrounding the Detroit auto show, it's easy to forget that Montreal has its own auto show going. Land Rover took advantage of the event to reveal the third special edition of the Range Rover Evoque called the NW8.
The NW8 moniker represents the postal code for North West London, which encompasses the city’s creative scene and is home to the famous Abbey Road. It follows the SW1 Monochrome and SW1 Colour special editions.
The exterior only comes in Fuji white with a Firenze red contrasting roof and matching red mirror caps. The lettering is also in red, and the wheels are black. Other accents include darkened head- and fog lights, clear rear lights and Santorini black wing vents.
Inside, Evoque NW8 customers get a choice of Taurus-leather ebony with pimento-perforated inserts or ebony seats with ebony inserts. The Abbey Road zebra crossing stripes adorn the treadplates, seat tags and key fob.
Like the standard Evoque, the NW8 comes with a 2.0-liter gas engine making 236 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque, with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The nine-speed was reprogrammed for the 2015 model year and is said to offer crisper shifts and less gear hunting. Four-wheel drive is standard.
