2015 Honda Civic Type R spied on British plates

These are the latest shots of the 2015 Honda Civic Type R, which show it registered on British plates.
The new Civic Type R, which was revealed as a sizzling concept for the Paris Motor Show a few days ago, has been photographed in a heavily disguised state being tested on what looks like German roads.
It appears intitally to reflect the styling of the Paris concept, particularly the rear with the huge wing and quad-tailpipes clear to see. However, there are some details that have been toned down.

The front has lost the striking light clusters, replaced by a simpler design and traditional circular foglamps instead of the LED light bar. The deep front wing is still present, as is the mesh grille.
The wheelarches appear to be slightly toned down from the flared items on the concept, although the deep side skirt remains. The huge brakes are also evident, as are the trademark red calipers.
Only a small section of the interior can be seen, but the images show a return of the distinct Type R red bucket seats, as well as red seatbelts and interior detailing.

This Civic Type R can be seen on what looks like German roads, which confirms the Nurburgring has been a big part of the testing regime. It could also mean that the Civic stands a chance of beating the current lap record for a front-wheel drive hot hatch, which is held by the Renaultsport Megane 275 Trophy R.
The British plates on this car also allow us to confirm the tax band. The Civic Type R should have CO2 emissions that fall under 185 g/km.
Honda has confirmed that the Civic Type R will be powered by a 2.0 i-VTEC turbocharged engine, that wil produce 'in excess' of 278bhp. It is expected to be released early next year, with a pricetag of around £30,000.
