McLaren 675LT will get 500-car production run, cost $349,500

LONGTAIL TO STICKER FOR 295,500 BRITISH POUNDS

The McLaren 675 Longtail made its debut at the Geneva auto show this week. We knew about the power; we knew about the weight; we even knew about its heavily massaged engine, which features a bunch of new parts. We didn’t know about the price. McLaren says each of the 500 examples will cost $349,500.

Like we told you last month, the McLaren 675LT was inspired by the McLaren F1 Longtail of the past. The new model will deliver 666 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8. Top speed is 205 mph.

The 675LT gets a wider track than the 650S, “ensuring optimized stability and handling performance.” Springs have been stiffened 27 percent in front and 63 percent at the rear, which allows for a 40 percent increase in downforce. It tips the scales at 2,711 pounds dry.

The show car in Geneva was painted chicane gray, which will be a 5,090-British-pound option.
