Chevy unveils Colorado Z71 Trail Boss at Cleveland Auto Show

OFF-ROAD COLORADO MODEL GETS BEEFIER SUSPENSION, TRANSFER CASE SHIELD AND SPRAY-IN BEDLINER

Chevrolet introduced the Colorado Z71 Trail Boss at the Cleveland Auto Show on Friday. It comes with the Z71 off-road package and a bunch of extra options, including Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tires, and is offered in two- or four-wheel drive and with a short or long bed.

Other upgrades include dark argent metallic wheels, movable tie-downs, load bar, cargo divider and black fender flares.

Additional options include a G80 automatic locking rear differential, transfer case shield, front recovery hooks, rocker steps, spray-in bedliner, projector beam headlights and all-weather floor mats.

“The Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition is equally at home blazing an urban trail or following one to a favorite remote campground,” said Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager. “It gives owners the gear-carrying ability and versatility they need to venture off-road, with segment-leading efficiency and capability.”

The Trail Boss goes on sale this spring with a starting price of $31,825.

The Trail Boss will join the Nightfall Edition, the GearOn Edition and others in GM’s stable of specially optioned trucks. We think it’s one of the better-looking special editions that has hit the market so far.

We'd take one exactly like this, in red.
